My group and I completed all our filming for the 2 minute opening of a film. We began filming using the storyboard as our guide. We didn't have many problems when filming as we played back each scene we filmed and re-done it if it did not look right or there was something wrong with the mise en scene. It took about 3 hours to film but I think it went very well. We shot each scene a few times so that when editing we had a choice of which is best. We managed to complete all the shots and have enough to fill the 2 minutes up.
We began filming and all shared a part in the filming. I chose to film the part in the field with the loser walking over the hill. I started by setting up the tripod and filming just the field as an establishing shot. I then got Romano to start walking across and at first I done a long shot then zoomed in to have a mid shot and then a close up when he was in front of the camera. When we edit we want to chop each different shot down to around 5 seconds so that it's quick and shows his journey but in a shorter time.
A problem which occured was when we were filming we had a few people walking into the shot and waving at the camera and when a bus drove past we noticed our reflection in the window. We then re-filmed these shots.

Inspiration

We are now on holiday and I have been watching the openings to various teen comedies. One film which has greatly helped is the film 'Juno' as it is a teen comedy and has a similar opening to ours. It is a lot more advanced with its editing as it combines cartoon with real life. However, it shows the main characer walking along showing her everyday life and area that she lives in. Our film also starts with the main character walking around but then meeting other characters. I looked at what shots they used to see if we could improve our storyboard in any way. I came up with a few new ideas about the shots of when the boy and girl hug. i.e a close up of their middle when they hug. I also want to have a close up of the losers shoes as he's walking. Anna then noted this down on our storyboard which we will use for filming in a few days.

CLC!
Today we all attended the CLC for a lesson on editing films. We are going to use a software programme called Adobe Premire Pro. We learnt all the basic things like cutting out parts of the film which is called 'razoring' and then we learnt how to add music and how to rendor and add in effects. We also completed the final storyboard for the main task which means we can start filming ASAP!

Today's Lesson
Today we decided where to film our prelimenary task. It would take place in our sixth form common room with Annabel and Patsy as the actresses. We put a script together but will probably tell the actresses to improvise so it's a little more realistic. Plus they are both very good at drama!
